It's not automatic.  When you use spider.pl default http:/... that
"default" configuration does use SWISH::Filter.  If you specify a config
file then you would normally have to include configuration to use
SWISH::Filter.

But, IIRC there's also a way to merge the default config with your own
config -- which give you a way to alter the default config.

Open up spider.pl in your text editor and search for the bit of code that
creates the default config.  That might make things a bit more clear.
