That's a development version.

Next release is 2.4.4.  Which will be basically a re-versioning of
2.5.4.

The release will be sometime soon -- next few weeks is a good guess.

You could use 2.5.4 snapshot and help find any bugs that need to be
resolved before 2.4.4 is released.  That will likely make 2.4.4
happen sooner.
