I have another question...

Since our indexing takes quite some time but crashed, I was wondering
if there is anything to do with temporary files instead of just
sending them to the trash ?

Isn't there a way to tell swish-e to use those temporary files to
build an index instead of starting all over ? This would be great =)
It stopped at about 16 millions records.
