OK

I tried the same commands as you did, namely

swish-e -c config.file -i site4.html -v0 -T properties

I still dont get swishtitle

I am running v 2.4.2 on Solaris8 for sparc

I downloaded the latest 2.5.2-2004-10-08 compiled it vanilla (only LDFLAGS 
in configure)

then used that swish-e and the unaltered spider.pl and still no swishtitle

There is obviously some difference?

This is extremely frustrating
