By the way --

You don't have to write xml or use a database if you want to keep things
simple.  If you like you can write the data out to a simple text file in
any format you like -- you could use a tab-delimited file with one line
per quotation or something like a Windows .ini file.  Doesn't matter as
long as it's easy to determine the fields.

I can write a simple parser for that to feed the data into swish.
