If just starting out with swish you should download the 2.1-dev version
from the "swish-daily" page (see http://swish-e.org).  It's soon to be the
"released" version.

If you do not have root access then you don't need to install swish into
the system bin directories with make install.  Just copy the file
src/swish-e to your local "bin" directory.
