Easy-to-understand search instructions?

Is there a document somewhere with simple, easy-to-understand instructions
that explain what to put after -w (the search query)?

I'm putting a search box on my website that uses SWISH-E, and need some
instructions I can post on the website that non-computer science people
can understand.
