I uploaded a few modules to CPAN for use with Swish.

Most of these modules are still under development and the goal is to make
them integrate with Swish 2.1.x.  

Although the SWISH.pm module documentation says:
"NOTE: This is alpha code and is not to be used in a production environment."
they are being used in production with swish 2.0.

SWISH-0.04.tar.gz   This module is a generic interface to swish.  It's used
   to access swish either by forking or by the new swish library.

SWISH-Fork-0.08.tar.gz 
   This module is used to run swish for safely forking and exec'ing
   Swish.  Requires the SWISH module above.

SWISH-Stemmer-0.03.tar.gz
   This provides access to the stemmer.c routine used by swish for
   word stemming.  I use it for highlighting search terms, and for
   a thesaurus-type of word lookups on the words in a query.
