In the original search.pl that came with swish there is a line:

"$swish_path -f $form{ 'ipath' } -me 50 -t HBthe -w $form{ 'terms' } | " :

Of course, the "HBthe"  can be set so that swish-e searches for selected
text (Headings, titles, etc.).

I don't find this feature in Jswishi.  Can it be inserted in the cgi
somewhere?
