I would not expect Swish-E to be able to index PDF files (Adobe's 
P(ortable) D(ocument) F(ormat) files) without some kind of preprocessing. I 
was wondering whether, in anyone's expert opinion, Swish-E could be 
configured to preprocess a PDF file and index it.

I realise that some custom programming may be necessary, and I have no idea 
how one might persuade any Adobe package to do the unpacking for you in 
such a way that you'd have access to the results.

Any comments?
