meta tag inconsistency based on size

used swish-e for a project a coupla years ago, and came back to it for
one coming up....i apologize for the long message:

i'm using the META NAME style tagging to get a fielded index, and this
works fine when i perform the indexing on a small subset of documents, but
using the same configuration on around 4000 documents, only one of the
meta tags is getting indexed:

	MetaNames SUMMARY INVESTIGATOR TITLE STUDYNO
	PropertyNames INVESTIGATOR STUDYNO # possibly relevant?

these directives are in the config file for both the full index and the
subset; the INVESTIGATOR and SUMMARY meta tags are not getting indexed
in the full index; here is a relevant snippet from a file indexed in both
configurations (please ignore the minor markup errors...minor perl script
fix):

<P><B>Investigator(s)<!-- META START NAME="INVESTIGATOR" -->:</B> Gilbert,
Claire W.<!-- META END -->

<P><CENTER><H3><!-- META START NAME="TITLE" --> COMPARATIVE STUDY OF
COMMUNITY POWER RESEARCH, 1920-1964<!-- META END --></H3></CENTER>

<P><B>Study Summary<!-- META START NAME="SUMMARY" -->:</B> This study
contains data relevant to 166 community power studies conducted at various
times in the period from 1920 to 1964. Data in this study are available on
the characteristics of the researcher and the research report, the
theoretical and methodological characteristics of the research, the formal
structure and characteristics of politics in the community, and the
geographic, economic, demographic, and social attributes of the
communities studied. There are approximately 330 card-image
equivalents.<!-- META END -->

sorry for such a long message, but thought attachments might bug everyone
even more.....am i missing something in the docs, or am i doing something
really dumb (wouldn't be first time)....

rob
